The GSX-8S is propelled by an all-new 776cc DOHC 270° crank parallel twin engine focussed on dynamic performance. It delivers abundant torque for flexibility suited to a range of riders, paired with a powerful top end for an exciting and rewarding ride.
The new 776cc, DOHC, parallel twin engine with four valves per cylinder features a long-stroke configuration that delivers a fine balance of smooth, controllable power from low rpm and the enjoyable feeling of free-revving performance through to the top end. The engine features a 270° crankshaft design, which delivers a smooth ride with lots of torque, positive traction, and a unique, thrilling rumble.
Designed around the new engine and made from steel tube sections, the frame is engineered to provide excellent straight-line stability, contribute to agile handling, and perform well in the city as-well-as at highway speeds. The new exposed subframe is designed to support the rider, and contribute to the GSX-8S' slim appearance and stripped-down look.
Featureing a wheelbase that is longer than on a tupical naked streetfighter, this contributes to straight-line stability, while the overall chassis geometry provides agile handling and cornering performance.
